Octorara Area School District

Located in southeastern Pennsylvania, the Octorara Area School District was established in 1956 and is quaintly nestled among the beautiful farmlands of Lancaster and Chester Counties. Serving both Chester and Lancaster Counties, the District is comprised of eight municipalities; Atglen, Christiana Borough, Sadsbury Township, Parkesburg Borough, Highland Township, Londonderry Township, West Fallowfield Township, and West Sadsbury Township.

Covering a distance of 93 square miles, with easy access along Route 41, just 10 miles south of Route 30 and 9 miles north of Route 1, the district is within 30 miles of Lancaster, Reading and Wilmington, DE.

Meeting educational standards and preparing students for secondary education is the District’s main objective. Developing a partnership with parents and community continues to be an integral element in providing the leadership and opportunities students require.
