On October 2, Jim Lukens, Systems Specialist, presented at our quarterly user group meeting at the Chester County Intermediate Unit in Downingtown [see gallery below]. Jim shared insights on reducing server vulnerabilities and provided a broad perspective on typical IT vulnerabilities and risks. He addressed how Chesconet members can leverage both low-hanging fruit as well as protection at deeper levels of complexity.
Members in attendance shared their current projects (such as Nutanix Xi Cloud Services), asked great questions including a discussion about collaboration tools (such as Slack), and requested a technology matrix to help connect them with others who use similar technologies.
Quarterly User Group meetings are just one of the ways Chesconet users connect with other network members and professionals in IT, networking and security positions and similar roles across the region. These sessions feature a presentation topic and networking time. Contact Jessica Sahl to join us for the next session and meet the Chesconet member network!
